Protecting the Wealthy

I think the rich should help the poor. Unfortunately some may feel different about there 'hard earned' money and treat the poor like the homeless. The rich think of the poor like dirty, smelly, lazy and they want them as far away as possible. The government probably feels the same way and is not giving as much money to those who need it. Like poorer schools, such as the schools in East St. Louis. Like when they cut off access to a bridge in the book 'Savage inequalities'. That keeps the poor, poor. It keeps the rich peoples problems at bay and the poor people in there place.   "The governor Thompson, however, tells the press that he will not pour money into East S.t Louis to solve long-term problems. East St. Louis residents, he says, must help themselves. " Pg 24 Savage Inequalities
